The reality is, Covid notwithstanding, Jaguar all by itself sells a ballpark figure of 200,000-230,000 cars per year. Porsche only manages to beat that by a little bit (relatively speaking) at ballpark 250,000-275,000 per year. All the other comparable brands that haven’t “muddied their brand” so to speak, sell far less.
Jaguars have bad resale because of perceived reliability and because of being a luxury car. I'll add an F Type R when I can get one under thirty, which will happen. Many Jaguar owners do this strategy of waiting. I'm also guilty of this, I'm trying to decide if my next car will be an XKR-S or an F-Type SVR.
2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. At 575 horsepower from its supercharged 5.0-liter direct-injection V8, the F-Type SVR rates 25 more than the next up in the lineup, the F-Type R. Both come standard with
For me, the F-Type V8 put to rest the whole "slo car fast vs fast car slo" mentality. Driving that thing in low speeds in traffic with that exhaust was much more fun than driving a manual base Civic at full throttle. The exhaust burble even when going easy and being respectful was just so intoxicating on the Jag.
Alrighty so far here are the problems I have had with my 2015 Jaguar F-Type base (V6): Ground wire disconnected/loose in front left fender area cause all warning lights to go off and the car to go into limp mode. Cost to tow and repair: $1000 ($200 tow truck). Wheel bearing gone bad.

The LC is not a sports car and does not drive like one and shouldn't be compared to the Jag, let alone a supercar. The LC is a cruiser with a lovely sound track but I'm not sure why YTers claim it to be anymore. I've found the RCF is the better driver's car even, with better cooling, handling, and just less heavy.
I think what the commenter was referring to was either Lotus or Volvo (also was owned by Ford) as their owned by Geely a Chinese conglomerate. jeepskinn • 3 yr. ago. They used to be all British, then they joined with Land Rover and were bought from Ford in 2008 by the Chinese parent company Tata Motors.

Sure, for a midsize SUV. If you're thinking of buying a car that does that job and turning heads is a priority, see if you can find a CPO XF Sportbrake S. It's pretty much the same interior and running gear as an F-Pace S, but longer and lower. Speaking from experience, it absolutely does turn heads. The fast wagon is a thing to car enthusiasts.

Usually yes, but it does seem to be the only thing Ive read about that people repeatedly bring up related to the S type, usually with some comments about how hard it is to inspect the area properly. Fair enough. I have had my 2003 S Type R since 2005 when I bought it with 20k on it. I love the car, it is a absolute joy to drive.
