The Heads Up achievement is garbage. Love the Eliminator, but that achievement is just nonsense. I've actually finished 2nd a few times and usually end up between 5th and 7th in the Mini but unless pretty much everyone you're matched with at the end is absolutely terrible at the game there's no chance. You can still get a new car, it just has The freezing puts you at a disadvantage, so you’ll only be able to challenge people below your level if you want to win. You’ll need a good place to find car drops at the start, so I’d recommend the stadium. There’s usually a car drop there and lots of Beetles around to challenge. More competition for the 1 or 2 car drops, though.

There is no set patterns for drops. But drops have specific spots. Try starting near landmarks. Some drops occasionally appear in open fields, but most will be near important areas or objects. I have a spot where there are 5 potential spawn points within eye shot. And then I have a couple of routes I run with some known spawn points.
