Honda FR-V (2004 – 2009) At A Glance. Clever way to carry 6 in 2 rows, like a Multipla, but with Honda quality. 1.8, 2.0 and 2.2 all chain cam engines. Slightly odd looking. Better from 2006 facelift. Discontinued mid 2009. Not too long ago, a ‘family car' was a straightforward saloon, hatchback or estate seating two in the front and three

Helpfull hint evey now and again drive aggresivley (not at other drivers), reving the engine hard, this will keep your DPF clean and avoid having to replace or get
Honda Civic 2.2 Diesel - Oil change for Diesel Honda Civic - focussed I've got one, It depends how many miles you are doing, the spec is oil and filter change every 12500 miles or every 12 months. If you are doing a lot of short runs of less than 5-6 miles by all means have the oil changed more frequently - read the service book for guidance.
For example the latest Honda Civic 1.5 Turbo produces 40bhp and 50lb/ft more than the previous non-Turbo 1.8 yet it does noticeably more mpg and costs less to tax. The new CRV using the same 1.5 Turbo should be worth a look if funds allow and VAG’s 1.4/1.5 TSi petrols are very close to the diesel brethren for economy and performance.
2.2 diesel fuel leak. I searched the forum and only saw one other instance of this, but though it worth describing the problem to help any others. The car smelt of diesel after driving and noticed that it left a fuel spill patch on the driveway. I had to remove the large, main under-shield (towards the rear of the car) to identify the leak.

My 2009 150 bhp does not have a dpf and does not have the engine problems. It is a 59 reg just 5 years old this month with 65k on the clock. It is a great car to drive and own with no problems so far after 15k miles and 20 months ownership.
The 2.2-litre direct injection unit's 110kW of power (at 4000rpm) and 350Nm of torque (between 2000-2750rpm) are 19kW/70Nm down on the Mazda CX-5 diesel, 10Nm behind the Mitsubishi Outlander
3 – Braking system. The Civic can be known for brake squeal and grumbling rear pads – especially if cheap aftermarket replacements have been fitted. Also make sure the handbrake doesn’t have excessive travel before holding the car firmly. The Civic has a trait for wearing out the rear pads quickly – so check.
