Spreadthe love. Reliability & build quality It’s not a great story when you start delving into the reliability of the KTM 1290 Super Adventure. Two owners report serious enough problems to award it a one-star review. There doesn’t seem to be a prevailing single issue as much as several, concerning both electrical and mechanical parts. My1290 Super Adventure S has been in 3 times for the quick shifter not working as described above, the technicians did not even bother to test it yet - they just state no errors found & that they adjusted it. Super disinterested. 1post · Joined 2022. #1 · Jul 18, 2022. Just got the 1290 SAR 2018,6000 miles on to odometer condition is pristine, travel package included but one problem. The quick shifter isn't working on low rpm it is but on 2500rpm and above the gear shifter is hard like a rock, down shifting is working.
